Art as rehabilitation and a creative escape
I started creating these unique art and furniture pieces as a crucial part of my rehabilitation. Living with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome has brought challenges, including limited limb movement and impaired eyesight. Each piece is a labour of love, taking time and dedication, but the process offers a wonderful distraction from my condition. What makes my work truly special is that no two pieces are ever the same; each one is an original, crafted with care and intention.
Finding joy and expression in every pour
Beyond its role in my rehabilitation, creating art is a profound source of joy and expression for me. I have a small studio nestled in my garden, a sanctuary where I can channel my emotions into tangible creations. Since I can no longer drive or work outside the home, art has become my way of connecting with the world. My paintings are never planned; I simply choose colours and let them flow onto the canvas, allowing the magic to unfold organically.
